🧂  Why Salt Quality Really Matters

We only supply pure Grade A PDV salt — because anything less can devastate your softener.

Some salts now entering the UK market (like sea salt, lake salt, and solar-evaporated varieties) aren’t actually cheaper — but they’re packed with things your softener really can’t handle.

⚠️ Here’s what can happen with the wrong salt:

• Seafoam builds up inside your softener. This is often caused by algae or seaweed spores that thrive in salty environments — and once they’re in, they’re almost impossible to flush out - your softener begins to breed algae because this type of algea thrives in salt water environments.

• You’ll also get oil residue from boats and ships — this coats everything internally and causes seals to slip, meaning parts stop fitting properly.

• And then there’s the coarse and fine sand sediment, which can scratch the valve and damage precision components.
  

In short? It’s not worth the risk.

If you’ve been using granular salt, now’s the time to switch.

Tablet salt is far better for your machine — it reduces wear and tear and helps extend its life. 

The only people who sell and recommend granular salt either don't know how damaging it can be, or don't care - probably because it increases servicing costs and reduces equipment life which means more profit for them sooner.
